Artist Bio
            Kristen Elena is an artist and instructor, from San Antonio, Texas. In May of 2020, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and a minor in Art History from the University of Texas at San Antonio. During her time in the art program, she was featured in the Spring 2018 “Art Meets Science: Comparative Anatomy” sponsored by the Department of Art and Art History and showcased at “RAW: Arise” at the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio, Texas. In 2020, Kristen was also published in an artist-run publication based in England, called Art Hole Magazine. In September of 2021 Kristen moved to London, England to pursue her Master of Arts degree in Art & Design in Education at University College London which she completed in August of 2022.
 Kristen uses visual art as a way to encourage expression and educate people of all ages about why art can change and has changed our society and culture. Her extensive art education allows her to demonstrate a variety of techniques when instructing and create a wide range of styles in her own work. 
Kristen uses visual art techniques such as weaving and painting to explore ideas such as sensory artwork, contemporary interpretations of art history, and personal memories. Currently, Kristen is living in Jacksonville, North Carolina and is pursuing professional practices in art as an instructor and educator.
